Caring for Residents as Our Own Family
“This isn’t really a job for me. It’s personal. I enjoy the residents. They make my day.”
Joann Martin
Dining Room Server
Over 20 years of service
Heritage Oaks is a community of caring and thoughtful people. Our staff and residents take pleasure in the supportive environment and family atmosphere.
One difference between us and other retirement communities is our staff’s longevity. We average 8 ½ years at Heritage Oaks and many on the staff have been here 15-20 years. Residents can count on seeing the same friendly faces and don’t have to voice their preferences to a new person every few weeks.
We make it a point to know all our residents by name and know their styles and habits, because we are devoted to helping our residents get the best out of life.

Joe Savarie, a registered nurse since 1982, has been the Executive director at Heritage Oaks for 16 years. Joe keeps busy with his wife, also a nurse, and 3 sons who grew up around Heritage Oaks. You may see him out trimming trees with his chainsaw or driving the residents around town in the activity bus.

Mary Jane, our full time driver has been here for 20 years. She is very artistic and wonderful in the kitchen. Our residents enjoy her cooking demonstrations!

Nikki Anderson, our front desk supervisor has been here for 10 years. Nikki has 3 young children and she really enjoys making crafts with the residents. You will find her at the front desk, ready to answer all of your questions with a smile!

John Moxham, Activities Director with 5 years of service.

Our wonderful housekeeping staff has a combined 21 years of service.
