Why should I consider Heritage Oaks? As time goes by, the upkeep of a house or apartment becomes difficult. Meal preparation is no longer enjoyable. Driving is a chore. Days can pass without seeing others. Living at Heritage Oaks is designed to meet these needs, relieving you of these responsibilities. Our philosophy is to allow you all the freedom and independence you may want, while assuring you of the concerned attention you may need. May I have guests at Heritage Oaks? Certainly. Your friends and family are always welcome for a daytime visit or an overnight stay. A small charge is made for guest meals. There is also a guest room available for a nominal fee. What is included in the housekeeping service? Our housekeepers will clean your apartment once a week. At that time they will change your sheets and towels, clean your bathroom and vacuum the carpets. Windows and stuffed furniture are cleaned as necessary. Do I pay for using the Heritage Oaks bus? No. Heritage Oaks provides regularly scheduled transportation to several shopping centers, grocery stores and other excursions. In addition, transportation is available for medical appointments within our area. There is a small fee charged for other errands. I plan to keep my car. Is parking available? Yes. Heritage Oaks has adequate parking for residents and guests. Is there a large entrance fee to pay or investment to be made before being accepted? No. Only a small non-refundable processing fee of $350 is payable when you move into Heritage Oaks. What kind of help is available in an emergency? Our front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Every apartment is equipped with a two-way intercom system and emergency buzzer that is monitored 24 hours a day. A security person will respond and summons help. Are the apartments individually heated and cooled? Yes. Residents decide how warm or cool they wish to be. How are meals provided? Heritage Oaks has a trained dietary staff that prepares three meals daily in a modern, well-equipped kitchen. A choice of entrees is available each day as well as a salad bar and homemade soup. Meals are served restaurant style, beginning with a hot breakfast. Is nursing service or assistance available? Yes. An independent, privately staffed home care agency is located in our community. They are available in an emergency and are available to provide assisted living services. Services from the agency are arranged on a fee for service basis. Where is Heritage Oaks located?
